I missed the Placement Exam. What do I do now?
Call us at 508.862.6336. Exam dates will be held throughout the spring and summer. Call Admissions Director Mr. Al Catelli at 508.862.6336 x104 to schedule an exam date.

Is it required that I be Roman Catholic to attend the school?
No! While Pope John Paul II High School is unabashedly Catholic, our education is open to any young person who wants high-quality college-preparatory education and wants to know God better in his/ her life.

Will you have sports in the beginning?
Yes! PJPII HS will field sub-varsity (freshman and JV) teams in sports right away. As of the spring 2007, coaches have been hired for football, soccer, cross country, golf, tennis, and baseball. The search process is underway for basketball, sailing, and softball coaches. Additional coaches will be added as enrollment numbers permit.

When will the school receive accreditation?
Pope John Paul II High School will receive its accreditation through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). We have asked for permission to begin this process early.

I heard that no transfer students will be accepted. What does this mean?
that statement is not correct! It is possible to transfer into an existing class. For example, during the 2007-2008 school year it will be possible for students to transfer into the school's freshman class, or during the summer transfer into the sophomore class. Call or email the admissions office for additional information.

What transportation options exist?
All families, including out-of-district families, may receive bus transportation from the Barnstable School District. Contact the Barnstable School District for additional information.

What will class sizes be?
Required, core classes will have 15-25 students.
Elective and upper-level course will have smaller class size.

Is there a dress code?
PJPII High School students are required to wear a uniform.

Why attend Pope John Paul II High School?
To know God better. To get an outstanding education and to be well prepared for college. To start something new. To be a leader. To leave a legacy bigger than me. To stand out. To give and receive in a place where I am valued. To begin fun traditions and rituals. Because God is challenging me.
